    About Dodge

Based in Michigan, United States, Dodge was founded in 1900 by two brothers named John Francis Dodge and Horace Elgin Dodge, making it one of the oldest car manufacturers in the world. The company produces many types of vehicles including SUVs and vans but what they are most renowned for are their muscle or pony cars such as Dodge Challenger and Dodge Charger.

The company initially supplied auto parts and was called Dodge Brothers Company. Some of these, including chassis, were being sold to the Ford Motor Company. It was only in 1914 that Dodge began producing vehicles, with the first one being Dodge Model 30/35. In 1920, the founders of Dodge died, and the company went to Dillon, Read & Co. before being acquired by Chrysler around eight years later. Dodge built trucks as well as compact, mid-size, and full-size vehicles during the decades that followed. These included Coronet, Dodge Dart, Royal Lancer, and Power Wagon. However, the legendary Dodge Charger and Dodge Challenger were introduced during the 1960s and 1970s. Another vehicle that received immense popularity in the decade that followed was Dodge Caravan. Two incredibly powerful vehicles at the time, Dodge Ram and Dodge Viper, were released during the 1990s. In the same decade, there was a brief merger between Dodge’s owner Chrysler and Mercedes-Benz’s owner Diamler. In 2009, Chrysler partnered with Fiat and later on completely merged with the company to create Fiat Chrysler Automobiles. Some of the best-selling Dodge cars that are being produced currently include Dodge Durango, Dodge Challenger, Dodge Charger, Dodge Avenger, Dodge Nitro, Dodge Magnum, Dodge Viper, Dodge Dart, Dodge, Caliber, Dodge Grand Caravan, and Dodge Journey. SRT and Hellcat are high-performance versions of Dodge cars.

The fact that over half a century old models like Dodge Challenger and Dodge Charger are still popular as new and used cars for sale stands as a testament to their unmatched style and performance. It also means that as their owner it will be easy for you to sell your car in Dubai and UAE

    Popular Dodge cars

    Dodge Charger

This muscle car has been in production since 1966 and it’s still growing strong. Over the years, the car has evolved from a 2-door fastback to a subcompact vehicle to a 4-door sedan. It’s currently in its 7th generation which started in 2011. From practicality to raw power, it offers a wide range of features. The 2019 Dodge Charger is available with a V6 as well as V8 powertrain that’s coupled with an 8-speed automatic transmission. What’s more, it even comes with the 4WD option. Its roaring sound and acceleration remind us that it’s a car that has participated in NASCAR championships. Other features that make it an exciting vehicle include remarkable control and traction, ample cargo space, and a tech-loaded interior

    Dodge Challenger

Manufactured just a few years after Dodge Charger, it’s another powerful pony car that competes with the likes of Ford Mustang. In its 1st generation it was available in two body types: convertible and hardtop. Dodge Challenger entered its 2nd generation as a coupe. It was introduced as a pony car at the North American International Auto Show for its 3rd generation which began in 2008 and is still continuing. The 2019 Dodge Challenger is available with a 6.4L HEMI V8 powertrain that can deliver 485 hp. Unlike Dodge Charger, it’s available with both automatic and manual transmissions. It’s built for performance and power but also provides comfortable rides. Those who are looking for even more acceleration can opt for the latest SRT and SRT Hellcat variants. Dodge Challenger has also proved its mettle on racing tracks

    Dodge Durango

In contrast to all the muscle cars produced by the company, Dodge Durango is a 7-seat SUV. With its production beginning in 1997, it’s also a relatively newer Dodge model. Besides Dodge Durango, the company isn’t manufacturing any other SUVs at the moment. The production of the current and 3rd generation Dodge Durango cars began in 2010. From GT to Citadel to SRT Hellcat, it’s available in a wide range of trims. The 2019 Dodge Durango has one of the best towing capacities in the segment. For those who are looking for an SUV that offers something different and more than the others available in the market, Dodge Durango can prove to be the right choice.
